Is the world prepared for swine influenza?
No, is my answer.
An outbreak in New York- hundreds of school children have fallen sick with suspected swine flu. A group of school children recently visited Mexico have spread the disease to other children.
New Zealand and Israel, there are also confirmations of people infected with swine flu.
Infections in Brazil, Guatemala and Peru are also suspected.
The world is not prepared because these death and infections cannot be stopped yet.
The poorer countries will be hit the hardest. Poor countries will not be able to cope with a large-scale swine flu outbreak. Although this has happened before in the past, we are still unprepared for this pandemic.

Global Issues environmenal fact
By the year 2100 or sooner, their will be 200 people in the village, and the number will reach 250 by 2150 or so. Many experts think that 250 is the maximum number of people the village can sustain. And even then, there might be widespread shortages of food, shelter and other resources.
I think this is an important fact because experts think the village can only sustain 250 people. In the year 2150, our world would have reached our population limit. We have to control population of the world starting now to prevent overpopulation.
